Mary Ozella Godfrey

Mary Ozella Bramlett Godfrey, 89, of Cleveland passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, in a local health care facility.  She lived most of her life in Polk County, but recently moved to Cleveland.  She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and loved God, family, friends and always enjoyed fellowship with everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Eugene Godfrey; daughter, Joanne Godfrey; parents, John Wesley Bramlett and Susie Lewis Bramlett; six brothers, Elmer, Clint, Earl, Eulain, Howard and Melvin Bramlett; six sisters, Bertie, Ora, Pearl, Eula, Hattie and Betty Jo.

Survivors include her son, David E. Godfrey and wife Kathy, Mary H. Ross and husband Richard, Carla S. Cranfield and husband Ray, Cecilia J. Champion and husband Bill; eight grandchildren, Travis Godfrey (Kris), Gabe Ross (Melissa), Melinda Godfrey Dalton (Eric), Daniel Champion (Emily), Heath Corbett (Sheena), Ami Ross Beasley (Stephen), Amanda Champion Ungleich (David), Crystal Corbett Hammond (Derek) and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Cheatham and Reverend Gabe Ross officiating.  Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
