Paul "Scrub" Wilson

Paul “Scrub”. Wilson, 72, a resident of Benton, TN passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2018 at Tennova Health Care in Cleveland, TN.  He loved to tell stories and make people laugh.  He loved his church, daughters, grandchildren and was a devoted husband.  He was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church and Ocoee Lodge 212 F&AM. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; Homer and Mae Wilson; sisters, Bea Holman, Lois Gilley, Myrtle “Tootsie” Green. 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Wilson; daughters, Sherri (Gerald) Crump, Jennifer Serrano, Christy (Arthur) Trentham; grandchildren, Jasmine Serrano, Jared Serrano; step grandchildren, Corey (Jana) Crump, Oliver Crump, La-Rae Trentham, Masan Trentham; brothers, Harold Wilson of Knoxville, TN, Robert Wilson of Spring City, TN, Lloyd Wilson of Cartersville, GA and Mike Wilson of Benton, TN.  Several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Homer Roberts and Reverend Jay Goss officiating.  Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the funeral home concluded by a Masonic Service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Green, Masan Trentham, Tim Lynch, Jesse Mashburn, Matt Cummings and Jason Green.
