Evelyn Sue Carter

Evelyn Sue Carter, 59, of Benton, TN passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at a Chattanooga hospital.  She loved God and going to church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Edith Byrum Carter; daughter-in-law, Michelle McDougal.

She is survived by her life-long partner, C. J. McDougal; children, Gary (Marlena) Miller, Wanda (Edward) Greenlief, Nancy (Terry) Brackin, James (Lindsey) McDougal and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Cronan; grandchildren, Zachary (Cheyenne) Miller, Timmy Miller, Megan Miller, Shyanne Brackin, Christy Brackin, Matthew Crisp, Justin Cronan, Benjamin McDougal, Lola McDougal, Cloee Morris, Daniel Miller, David Greenlief and Donna Greenlief; great grandson, Zander Miller; siblings, Virgie (Danny) Ramsey, Marie (Jeff) Baker, Christine (Kenny) Ramsey, Kenneth (Misty) Carter and Jerry (Gina) Carter.  Several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.   

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at All Nation Church of God, Cleveland, TN with Reverend Mike Whitmire and Reverend Zach Miller officiating.  Interment will follow in Shed Cemetery in Old Fort, TN.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home, Benton, TN.
