Jack G. Allen

Jack G. Allen, 82, a resident of Benton, TN passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his residence.  He was owner of Allen Manufacturing Chair Company but his passion was farming. 

He was preceded in death by his sons; Jack Edward Allen and Gary McPherson; daughter, Mitzi Creekmore; grandson, Anthony Bradford; parents, Jessie M. and Lillie Allen; brothers, James Allen, Marvin Allen, J.M. Allen and Robert Allen; sisters, Pauline Allen and Mable McAlister.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Allen; sons, Mark Allen and wife Teresa of Delano, TN Darrell Bates and wife Cathy of Benton, TN; daughter, Terri Bates of Benton, TN; grandchildren, Matthew and Jared Allen, Kenny and Amanda Bradford, Aaron Bradford, Landon and Bethany Brady, Joseph Allen, Gary Waters, Missy Bowman, Jodie Sitzler; sisters, Dorothy Couch and Evelene (Ivan) Murray; special niece, Sharee Allen; special friends, Jimmy and Joann Lewis.  Several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Homer Roberts officiating.  Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Benton Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at the funeral home prior to the service.
