ROBERT LEON LINDNER
March 26, 1940 — October 24, 2017
Robert Leon Lindner, 77, of Sauk Village, IL passed away October 24, 2017. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from LTV Steel. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Frances Smotherman Lindner; parents, Chester and Josephine Burchfield Lindner; brother, Fred Lindner; brother-in-law, Homer Garren.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlene (Jim) Slawnikowski; grandsons, Jimmy (Aly) and Stan Slawnikowski; sister, Wilma Garren and her children, James (Chloey) Garren, Bill (Sue) Garren, Ruth (Charles) Patton, Ray (Kay) Garren, Sarah (Ted) Swafford. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with Reverend Pete Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.
