Betty Jo Ledford

Betty Jo Ledford, 77, of Delano passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at her home.   She was a member of Delano Baptist Church.  She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family.  Her hobby was painting wood crafts.   

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Ledford; son, Michael Ledford; grandson, Michael Christopher Brown; parents, H. B. and Genora Patterson Jenkins; brother, Glen Jenkins; father and mother-in-law, William R. and Blanche O’Kelly Ledford; nephews, Larry Jenkins and Travis Jenkins.

Survivors include her daughter, Ginger (Chris) Brown; two special grandchildren, Stephen and Ashli Brown; brothers, Bobby (Sula) Jenkins and Larry (Darla) Jenkins; sisters, Vickie (Lynn) Bryan and Gloria (Bobby) Johnson; special niece, Roxanne (Bryan) Frazier.  Several other nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with the Reverend Johnny Powers officiating.  Graveside service and interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017 in Delano Cemetery.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home prior to the service.

Pall bearers will be Burt Jenkins, Jason Jenkins, Robbie Combs, Colby Johnson, Tanner Plemons and Dakota Clark.
