Winnie Lynn Burris, 39, of Old Fort, TN passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident in Loudon County. She was a beloved mother, daughter, family member, friend and coworker. She was a member of Boanerges Baptist Church where she loved to sing. Her son, Riley, was her pride and joy. She will be missed dearly by everyone.
She worked at Life Care of Cleveland for 19 years who were her second family. She never met a stranger and was loved by everyone that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Riley Burris; step-father, Alfred White; maternal grandparents, Sam and Winnie Mantooth; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Uless Self. She also leaves behind her fur baby, Sophie, that will truly miss her love every day.
She is survived by her mother, Gayla White; father, Jimmy Johnson; brother, Dale Johnson; half-brother, Jimmy Johnson, Jr.; step-brother, Keith White; step-sister, Samantha Tucker; her daughter by choice, Kylie Lewis; special friend, Mitch Armour. Several cousins, extended family members and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Boanerges Baptist Church in Old Fort, TN with Reverend David Disney and Reverend John Cain officiating. Interment will follow in Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery in Old Fort, TN. A white dove ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017 prior to the service at Boanerges Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are Wayne Holder, Junior Mantooth, Caleb Shelton, Jeramie Mantooth, Ron Callahan and Mac Self.
