Kelly Cross Johnson

Kelly Cross Johnson, 44, of Etowah, TN went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 23, 2017.  She was a native of Polk County, TN, loved spending time with her family and sitting on her back porch watching and feeding “her” birds.      She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Snowball) and Mary Cross; grandmother, Gussie Cronan; special brother-in-law, William Inman and brother-in-law, Robert Lawson; sister-in-law, Donna Burress.       

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 24 years, William (Bill) Johnson; sons, Billy (Christy) Johnson and Walker Johnson both of Etowah, TN; daughter, Vivian Johnson and fiancé Merrill Fraker of PA; sisters, Shelly (Gerald Hamilton) Cross, Ginger Inman of Etowah, TN, Betty (Kenneth) Burger of Delano, TN; brothers, William (Cheryl) Cross of Chatsworth, GA, Joe Cross of Cleveland, TN, Charles (Becky) Cross of Athens, TN; special son, Otis “BoBo” Ballew of Athens, TN; granddaughter, Macie Johnson; mother-in-law, Louise Johnson of Benton TN.  Several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law also survive.    

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with the Reverend Floyd Boggess and Reverend Kenneth Burger officiating.  Interment will follow in Old Ocoee Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN. 

Pallbearers will be Christopher Inman, Phillip Inman, Billy Johnson, Otis Ballew, Kenneth Burger, Dakota Howe, Joe Cross and Robert Cross.  Honorary pallbearer will be her twin sister, Shelly Cross.
