William "Billy" Cronan

William “Billy” Cronan, Jr., 70, of Benton, TN passed away at his residence on Sunday, February 12, 2017.  He was an animal lover but especially enjoyed his chickens.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary J. Cronan; parents, William Sr. and Viola Morgan Cronan; sister, Diane Cross; brother-in-law, Dwight Powers.   

He is survived by his children, Mike (Sonya) Cronan of Benton, TN and Jennifer (David) Hughes of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Kattie Shelton, Randy Silver and Kegan Cronan; great grandchildren, Alivia Shelton and Chloe Silver; brothers, Joe (Carolyn) Cronan and H. B. (Alene) Cronan both of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Juanita (Jimmy) Owens of Benton, TN, Alene Powers and Daisy (Junior) Gatlin both of Cleveland, TN.  Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with the Reverend Pete Morgan and Reverend Ray Cheatham officiating.  Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.  

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.

His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
