Jerry Dean Wade

Jerry Dean Wade, 77, a resident of Benton, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 in a local hospital.  He loved to go fishing and like Barbara, he too was a cat lover.  His career included a photography business, 18 years at Cleveland Daily Banner and 20+ years at Magic Chef. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Wade; parents, Theadas and Juanita Smith Wade; sister, Brenda Wade.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Jim) Childs; son, Todd (Terri) Wade; grandchildren, Meghan Hopkins, Kelly Childs, Susanne Hopkins; 2 great grandchildren, Miss J and Noah; brothers, Joe (Sharon) Wade, Jakie (Ruth Ann) Wade; sister, Barbara Wilcut.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
