Thelma L. Brewer

Thelma L. Brewer, 85, of Conasauga, TN passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at an Etowah healthcare facility. She loved to quilt, sew and grow daylilies.  She was a retired seamstress from Hardwick Clothes after 42 years. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Brewer; parents, Bert and Ida Ensley Patterson; brothers, Rockford, Gary and Ralph Patterson; sisters, Virginia Thomas and Evelyne Watson.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Janice Brewer of Delano, TN; grandsons and spouses, Chad and Kristy Brewer of Cleveland, TN, Rusty and Rachel Brewer of Benton, TN; great-grandchildren, Logan and Avary Brewer, Callie, Cade, Camden and Case Brewer.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.   

The family gives special thanks to the nurses and staff of Etowah Health Care and caregivers Loreane Jackson, Kim Willis, Barbara Dunstan and Amanda McDowell. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, TN with the Dr. Robbie Speights and Reverend Bruce Headrick officiating.  Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017 in Conasauga Cemetery.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.    

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad, Rusty, Cade and Logan Brewer, Doug Wood, Brad Hamby, Jerry and Bill Miller.
