David C Russell

David C. Russell, 55, of Benton, TN passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 in a Knoxville healthcare facility.  He loved to sing and did it well and occasionally played the guitar.  He had a silly sense of humor and a smile that could brighten up anyone’s day.  He always talked about his three girls, his family and made it a point to always mention his three daughters.  He loved being around his grandchildren, watch them play and made sure they received his full attention. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Abe Russell and Viola Cross Swann. 

He is survived by his step-father, J. T. Swann; daughters, Tiffany (Joseph) Bailey, Kandy (Troy) Spurling,  Amy Boyland; son, David Perian; grandchildren, Brandon, Autumn, Mikah, Sierra and Brett Moser, Gavin and Caiden Garlin and Kameron Bailey, Malaya and Kendall Boyland; brothers, Carl (Debbie) Russell, Tommy (Tammy) Swann; sisters, Pamela (Frankie) Shields, Tammy (Ricky) Johnson. 

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Haulk and Reverend Charles Moore officiating.  Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the funeral home prior to the service.
