Alford Andrew Ferry (Little Man), 67, of Delano, TN was called to his Heavenly Home Wednesday, February 24, 2016. He was a loving spouse, father, grandfather and friend. He was a soldier in the Vietnam War and an even bigger soldier in his fight against cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Vertie Gossett Ferry; brothers, Raymond, Maynard and Clifford Ferry.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Wilcox Ferry; sons, Charles (Mary) Ferry, Michael Ferry; daughters, Elizabeth (Skip) Rogers, Renay Long; grandchildren, Angel, Courtney, Christopher, Emily, Tylor, Matthew; great-grandchildren and the love of his life, Tiffany, Elijah, McKenzie, Tyler, Luciano, Chloe, Isabella; sister, Eveline (George) Hess. Several nieces and nephews also survive, all whom he loved very much.
The family wishes to say a SPECIAL THANKS to Tennessee Oncology, Dr. Krueger, Ron and Team, Dr. Samuel Olsen and Staff, all doctors and surgical ICU nurses of Tennova Healthcare, Hospice of Chattanooga and all those who sent prayers over the last decade and more.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Robbie Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors and Reverend John Cain officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 –2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Andy Ferry, Tony Ferry, Thomas Ferry, Matthew Long, Chris Long, and Tylor Ferry.
