Wilbert W. Perian, 87, a resident of Benton, TN passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was an ordained minister, a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was very fond of his church family. First, he loved to minister and go to church. He was kind hearted and very considerate of others needs. Second, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid western fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Eaton Perian; son, Wilbert W. Perian, Jr.; brother, Marvin Johnson; sisters, Rosa Cloer and Barbara Jean Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Una Mae (Charles) Rogers, Debra (Randy) Simmonds, Janice Perian (Jamie Green); grandchildren, Robert (Terri) Flake, Sebrina (James) Free, David Perian, Bryan Parrish, Ashley (Mitchell) Rynbrand, Gabriel Green; 10 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Earl (Marian) Johnson, Joyce (Buford) Hancock, Wanda Fay (Troy) Sheppard, Roy (Linda) Johnson, Jerry (Linda) Johnson; his special friend forever, Willie Cross and same as “family”, Ruth Cronan, Lisa Hembree, Judy Sargent. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family wishes to thank the girls at Lotties Diner for their kindness to their father.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Carl Haulk officiating. Interment will follow in Old Ocoee Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 –3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 prior to the service in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.
