Mary Helen Reeves

Mary Helen Huff Reeves, 90, a resident of Ocoee, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Athens, Wellington Place Memory Care Unit. She was a former resident of Piedmont, SC. She was a member of Benton Station Baptist Church. Mrs. Reeves was a passionate gardner and loved flowers. She also loved animals of any kind and enjoyed fishing and riding her motorcycle. Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Mack M. Reeves who passed away in 1999; her parents, Ware Henry Huff and Lillie McWhite Huff; two brothers, Jamie Huff and Wallace Huff. Survivors include her three children: Rickey Alan McCallum and wife, Jane McCallum of Sevierville, TN, William "Bill" Irwin McCallum and wife, Becki McCallum of Clanton, Alabama, Jan M. Darden and husband, Dr. David Darden of Ocoee, TN; two grandchildren: Heather L. Davis and husband, Benny of Sevierville, TN and Rickey McCallum, Jr. and wife, Erin of Knoxville, TN; four great-grandchildren: Cory Brewer, Trey Mason, Carter McCallum and Will McCallum; one sister, Virginia Woodson of Piedmont, SC; three nieces and one nephew also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Jenkins officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Cookson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
