David W. Stone

David W. Stone, 57, of Benton, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was a big fan of the Tennessee Volunteer Football team and loved country music. David was a very special son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Lee Stone; sister, Linda Marlene Stone Sanford; niece, Sheena Nicole Stone; his grandparents; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. David is survived by his mother, Reba Jean Higdon Stone of Benton; siblings, John Lee Stone of Florida, Sheree Stone of Benton, Bobby (Tina) Stone of Benton, Mary (Larry) Adams of Tennga, GA, Susan (Gary) Dale of Delano and Tammy (Wayne) Jones of Old Fort; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; and the very special caretakers of Life Bridges of Cleveland, including the nurses, staff, clients and many friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend David Qualls officiating. Interment will follow in Old Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Delano with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. His family would like to give a special thanks to Life Bridges for caring for our Lord's special people.
