Charles Michael "Mike" Crye, 64, a resident of Ocoee, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013 at a local hospital. He worked in forestry as a timber cruiser for Bowater, Sutton Lumber and recently retired from Hiwassee Timber. Mike enjoyed being outdoors, playing the guitar and listening to music. He liked to spend time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Cleo Sullivan Crye; grandparents, Emanuel and Leona Crye and Emory and Beulah Sullivan; aunts, Bonnie Trotter, Kay Ford and Jean Sullivan; and cousins, Daryl and Jerry Trotter. Mike is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay Arms Crye of Ocoee; brother, Timothy Crye of Jacksonville, FL; aunt, Mary Anna Smith of Wisconsin; mother-in-law, Edna Daugherty of Ocoee; brother-in-law, Sammy (Rhonda) Arms of Ocoee; father-in-law, Wallace (Bessie) Arms of Delano; brother-in-law, Wally (Robin) Arms of Delano; nieces and nephews, Sarah Arms, Chey Arms, Hannah and Rachel Arms, Scott Arms, Josh, Jake and Zach Arms; cousins, Brian (Tina) Ford, Tracy (Asa) Marshall, Stephen Smith, Amy Smith and Susan Smith; and special friends, Charles, Gena and Cara Bain. Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Junior Dixon, Jeff Stewart, John Manning, Chuck Currence, Bill "B.R." Blair and Mack Ross serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
