Regina Burchfiel Cox

Regina Burchfiel Cox, 81, of Benton, passed away, Thursday, March 14, 2013 a Cleveland healthcare facility. She was a member of Benton Station Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold A. Burchfiel, Sr. and Jessie Louella Ratcliff Burchfiel; siblings, Naomi (Bug) Howard, Anna Lou Adkins, Grace Dixon, Mattie Sue Johnson, Arnold A. Burchfiel, Jr. and John William Burchfiel. She is survived by her children, David Cox and wife, Rita of Cleveland and Charlene Blackwell of Cleveland; grandchildren, Whitney Charles Cox and wife, Vicki of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Katie Cox and Cody Charles Cox; brother, Robert Burchfiel and wife, Jean of Benton; sisters, Ruth Huff of Cleveland and Edna Daughtery of Ocoee. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday March 16, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Joel Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Albert Howard, Sammy Arms, Jeff Burchfiel, Whitney Cox, Cody Cox and Carl Maples will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
