Andy McClary, 58, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at a local hospital. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Polk County High School where he was a gifted athlete, in football, basketball and baseball. Andy's life-long passion was farming and livestock. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Carroll McClary. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandy McClary of Old Fort; children, Tiffany and Scott Martin of Old Fort, Adam and Whitney McClary of Cleveland and Seth and Danielle McClary of Old Fort; mother, Billie Anne Howard McClary of Benton; sister, Carol Anne McClary of Delano; five grandchildren, BreAnne Martin, Wyatt Martin, Aiden McClary, Belle McClary and Addi Grace McClary; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Scott Martin and the Reverend Eddie Trentham officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the funeral home.
