Golda Pauline Jones

Golda Jones Golda "Bebo" Pauline Jones 91, of Polk County left this world and entered into our heavenly Fathers arms on May 8, 2012. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Cleveland. She was the founding member and singer with "The Happy Three" for more than sixty years. She hosted a radio show for many years on WBIN "Moments of Sunshine". There was nothing that she loved more than singing praises to her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents';James Newton and Mattie Emmaline Wiley Woody: husbands; Burch Ellis, Roscoe "Rock" Owens and Walter Jones; grandson: Allen Hicks; granddaughter: Marion Perry; sister: Lorene; brother-in-law: Darrell F. Beard; sister-in-law: Francis Woody. She leaves behind her beloved children; Linda and husband Allen Perry of Benton, Judy and husband Ralph Lillard of Cleveland;: Hoyle and wife Wanda Ellis of Benton, Oliver "Bo" and wife Betty Ellis of Chatsworth, GA., Eyvonne and husband Robert Chastain, Vivian and husband William Johnson, Danny and wife Debbie Jones all of Cleveland, step-mother; Thelma Woody of Benton; grandchildren: Rex (Caroline) Perry, David(Sandy) Ellis, Denise McCormick, Jeff Hicks, Rodney (Lucy) Hicks, Jackie (Mitch)Linder, Amy (Kevin) Lawson, Adam (Christina) Ellis, and Amber and Kevin Ellis of Chatsworth, GA.; brothers: Reverend Jasper Woody and James and wife Mary Woody; sister: Debbie and husband Dean Carver. 19 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00P.M. Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Don Weaver officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 11, 2012 at Benton Cemetery with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday May 10, 2012 at the funeral home.
