Thelma Aine Craig Hunt, 73, a resident of Benton, passed away Thursday, March 08, 2012 at the family residence. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was retired from Hawthrowne Industries. Mrs. Hunt was the daughter of the late William Craig and Amanda Chadwick Craig and was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Claude and Amanda Hunt; son, Alfred Hunt; sisters: Willie Viola Craig, Martha Faye Swaggerty and Wilma Sue Craig. Survivors include her husband, Meredith Hunt of Benton; brothers: Johnny Craig and wife, Jeannie of Old Fort, Dewey Craig and wife, Cecile of Cleveland, Ernie Craig and wife, Rose of Charleston, Windham Craig and Fred Craig both Cleveland; grandsons: Johnny Hunt and wife, Shannon and David Hunt all of Benton; great-grandchildren: Devin Hunt, Dohnavon Hunt, Sandra Hunt, Shane McNeely and Jonathan Hunt; special friend, Dorothy Dishman; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Beaty Chapel Cemetery in Tellico Plains with Reverend Jerry Walden officiating. Robert Craig, Johnny Hunt, David Hunt, Ernie Craig, Jonathan Craig, Lynn Lawson, Robert Hicks,and Terry Massengill will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Burns, Jerry Lowery, Randall Gamble and Carson Craig. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home.
