Jonathan Lynn Pike, 24, of Benton, passed away peacefully, with his family and friends at his side, Wednesday afternoon, February 15, 2012 in a local hospital after his battle with cancer. He was a 2006 graduate of Polk County High School and was a former employee of C G Roxane Water Plant in Benton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Launa Moorehouse Presswood and Lee Presswood and John "Burley" Pike and Delzie Bowers Pike. He is survived by his mother, Shannon Presswood Green and husband, Tim of Benton; father, Gary Pike and fiancé, Julie Nichols of Benton; sisters, Carie Jane Pike and Julie Shane Pike; step brothers and step sister, Talon Golden, Cody Green and Amber Green; special aunts and uncles, Debbie and Randy Davis, Sandie Green, Diane and D.L. Lawson, Melissa and Buddi Davis, Bobbie Jo Evans and Betty Morgan; special cousins, Teresa and Brian Stafford and children, Cade and Kelby, Jamie and Angie Davis and Dawson Braxton; and special friend, Nicholas Lewis. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Ross officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Old Columbus Town Cemetery with Nicholas Lewis, Tyler Beavers, Justin Reynolds, Luke Wallace, Jake Wallace, Josh Browder, Zach Dale and Cody Green serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
