William "Bill" Lewis Wiggins, 83, of Delano, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at his residence. He was born September 3, 1928 in Tennga, GA. He was retired from Bowater Paper Company and United Knitting. He also owned Wiggins and Son Hardware in Benton. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Thompson Wiggins; father, James Henry Wiggins; sister, Monnie Powell Wiggins; and brother, John Henry Wiggins. He is survived by his wife, Dean Moss Wiggins of Delano; daughter, Marion Kerr and husband, Jim of Cleveland; son, William Ray Wiggins and wife, Betty of Delano; granddaughters, Julie Greene and husband, Brad and Emily Renner and husband, Forrest; six great grandchildren; brother, George Wiggins of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Jasper Woody officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Ted Wilson, Marvin Weaver, Don Ledford, Curtis Loveday, Doug Wilson, Jerry Lowery and Gene Wilson serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
