Noah L. Ramsey

Noah Luther Ramsey, 70, a life long resident of Benton, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the family residence. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. He was a barber. Mr. Ramsey was the son of the late Carmack Ramsey and Lena Poteet Ramsey and was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Helen Smith and Julie Allsion. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ramsey of Benton; children and spouses: Dallas Grayless of Benton, Donna and Billy Hill of Old Fort, James Grayless of Calhoun, GA and David Grayless and Michelle Wallin of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren, Jennifer and Tyler Patterson, Joshua Hill, Lauren Aldridge, D.J. Grayless, Peyton Grayless, Destynee Pickett, Derrick and Karlee Segler; great grandchildren, Tanner Patterson, Ashton Patterson and Chandler Womac; sister, Martha Linder. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Lee Ingram officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 in the Mountain View Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Billy Hill, David Grayless, Joshua Hill, Tyler Patterson, Dallas Grayless, Kason Harmon and D.J. Grayless will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Patterson, Ashton Patterson and Chandler Womac. His family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at the funeral home prior to the service.
