Leonard Locke

Leonard Locke, 75, of Benton, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 in an Etowah hospital. He retired from TVA as a construction worker. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Orville and Amanda Blackwell Locke; sister, Betty Sue Locke; and brothers, James M. Locke, Aaron Locke, Raymond Locke and Clifton Locke. He is survived by his children, Marvin Locke of Memphis and Mitchell Locke and Calvin Locke, both of Benton; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Locke and Eugene Locke and wife, Georgia, all of Etowah, Fred Locke and wife, Joy of Madisonville and Clifford Locke and Walter Locke and wife, Betty, all of Benton; and sisters, Mary Lou Hobson of Etowah and Jerry Lynn Davis and husband, Bill of Hamilton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2011 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Terry Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in Brock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
