Helen Rogers Malone, 75, of Benton, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 in a Chattanooga hospital. She owned and operated, along with her husband, Jerry's Auto Parts from 1971-2008. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Clevis "Heavy" Rogers; mother, Mamie Jones Rogers; and brother-in-law, Thomas Malone. She is survived by husband of 50 years, Jerry D. Malone of Benton; brothers, Billy F. Rogers and wife, Gail of Etowah and Bobby Rogers and wife, Jeanne of Benton; sister-in-law, Jane Malone of Athens; sister-in-law, Flora Olsen and husband, Harry of Columbus, MS; special niece, Jan Rogers of Benton; several nieces and nephews, Kim Wilson and husband, Greg, Tim Rogers and wife, Pam and Kelly Hicks and husband, Troy, all of Benton, Mark Olsen and wife, Belinda of Columbus, MS, Greg Olsen and wife, Carrie of Hampton Cove, AL and Annette Weaver and husband, Stan of Clinton; and special care taker, Connie "Pee Wee" Carroll. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Wilfred Wright officiating. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, which would have been her 50th wedding anniversary, in Benton Memorial Gardens. Greg Wilson, Tim Rogers, Mark Olsen Dennis Bates, Greg Olsen and Bret Rogers will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
