Ruby Irene Kinser Dixson, 91, a life long resident of Ocoee, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 in a Cleveland, healthcare facility. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late John Kinser and Ora Stamper Kinser and was also preceded in death by her husband, Chass Dixson; infant son, Wesley Ervin Dixson; brothers, Harle Kinser and J.L. Kinser; granddaughter, Dineen Dixson; sister-in-law, Nadine Kinser. She is survived by her children and spouses: Sylvia Dixson of Ocoee, Lydia Nail and husband Clyde Nail of Ocoee, Darvin Dixson and wife, Loretta of Charleston and Leon Dixson and wife Dale of Cleveland; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one step grandchild and one step great-grandchild; sisters: Waunetta Ledford and Frances Rush both of Ocoee; one brother, Patrick Kinser of Old Fort; sister-in-law, Nadine Kinser. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Smyrna Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Parm and Reverend David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery with Ray Cavett, Thomas Patterson, Ronny Davis, Randy Barnes, O.J. Lewis and Darren Hunt serving as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Higgins Funeral Home and also from 1-2 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 at the church prior to the service.
