Leonard Curtis Lee

Leonard (Frog) Curtis Lee, 67, a life long resident of Polk County, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 in a local hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired self employed heavy equipment operator. Mr. Lee was the son of the late Lester and Bessie Carney Lee. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Goodman Lee; daughter, Robin Blackburn and husband John; son, Curtis Lee and wife Libby all of Benton; grandchildren: Josh and Jarrett Blackburn and Dawson Lee all of Benton; sisters: Millie and Jim Wright of Ripley, Mississippi, Vesta Martin of Benton and Marchie Cain of Englewood; four nephews and one niece also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Pete Morgan and Reverend Bobby Rymer officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Morgan Cemetery in Reliance with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. His family will receive friends from 5- 8 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 at the funeral home prior to the service.
