Jim Jenkins

October 7, 1924 — September 22, 2010

Jim (Bug) Jenkins went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Mr. Jenkins was the son of the late Nip Jenkins and Demerce Lee Jenkins and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Sally Jenkins, Clyde Jenkins, Mike Jenkins, Ruth Corvin, Hazel Hall, Cindy Haney, Riley Jenkins; granddaughter, Britney Keith; great-grandson, Hunter McTaggart. He is survived by his children and spouses: Ronny Jenkins (Tammy) of Cleveland, R.L. Jenkins (Sandal) of Old Fort, Millie Goode (Bill) of Benton, Bernice Lewallen (Enis) and Chris Burris (Garry) all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Robert and Kim Lewallen, Stacey and Shasta Lewallen, David Goode, Carolyn Goode and Courtney Jenkins; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Cleve and Sharon Whaley and Gladys Pike. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Parm officiating. Interment will follow in Hicks Cemetery with David Goode, Carolyn Goode, Brandon Buckner, Robert Lewallen, Stacey Lewallen, Brandon Burris and Alex King serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Cameron Jenkins. His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
