Clifton Locke

Clifton Locke, 68, of Benton, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 in a local hospital. He served in the United States Army. He retired as a construction worker. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Amanda Blackwell Locke; brothers, James M Locke, Aaron Locke and Raymond Locke; and sister, Betty Locke. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Lou Hobson of Etowah and Jerry Lynn Davis and husband, Bill of Hamilton, OH and brothers, Bill Locke, Eugene Locke and wife, Georgia and Leonard Locke, all of Etowah, Fred Locke and wife, Joy of Madisonville and Clifford Locke and Walter Locke and wife, Betty, all of Benton. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Richard Chastain officiating. Interment will follow in Locke Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
