Geraldine Dorothy Waters

Geraldine Dorothy Goforth Water, 74, of Bradley County, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at her residence. She was a seamstress for 20 years with Hi Lo Industries. She was a member of Archville Baptist Church in Reliance. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Dolly McDonald Goforth; stepmother, Edna Goforth; daughter, Virginia Ledford; sisters, Linda Fay Ruth and Peggy Hall; and special friend, Marshall "Petey" Horn. She is survived by her children, Allen Ledford and wife, Debra of Tennga, GA, Fay Cannon and husband, Lawrence, Diane Presswood and Gerald Ledford and wife, Sharon, all of Cleveland; sister, Mary Ruth Jones and husband, Travis of Cleveland, Margaret Bates and husband, Kenneth of Polk County, Elizabeth Pierce and husband, Eddie of Cleveland and Nancy Gaston of Dunlap; brother, David Goforth of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Archville Baptist Church with the Reverend Wilfred Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Archville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
