Calvin Kenneth Lane

Calvin Kenneth Lane, 84, of Benton, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at his residence. He was with General Motors for 26 years and Conoco Oil Company for 13 years. He also served in the United States Navy. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, William North Lane and Elizabeth Pearl Hendrix Lane and step son, Gary Lee Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lane of Benton,; children, Kenneth Lee Lane and Susan Hatfield; step children, Theresa Krueger, Daniel Morris and Dodd Morris; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, John S., James S. and Lee; sisters, Mabel and Mattie Estelle; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, c/o West Cleveland Baptist Church, 1959 Westland Drive, Cleveland, TN 37311.
