Rhonda Sue Decker

Rhonda Sue Decker, 49, a resident of Reliance, went home on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. She was born January 25, 1960 in Madison, WI to Raymond and Rosalie Stanford. She grew up in New York State and was a graduate of Dutchess Community College. She loved music, but most of all, she loved to share it with others. She was a volunteer piano and chorus teacher to a home school group of children for many years. Her passion of music will live on in the hearts of all those that she shared it with. We will never forget. She will be remembered most for her loving spirit and dedication to her family. A Christian by faith with us on earth, now rejoicing in heaven with the Lord! She is survived by her husband, Joseph H. Decker, Jr. of Reliance; children, Rebecca and Amanda Decker of Reliance; step-son, Joseph Decker III of NY; parents, Raymond and Rosalie Stanford of Reliance; in-laws, Joseph Decker, Sr. and Elizabeth Decker of Benton; sister, Becky Hooper of Highland, NY; brother, Robert Stanford of Stormville, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 2, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Benny Thomas officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Witt McCully Cemetery in Polk County. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 2, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
