Edward Stanley Wright

Edward Wright, 76, of Delano, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at his residence. He served in the United States Navy, was retired from Cleveland Chair and was of the Church of God faith. He was preceded in death by his parents Will and Clara Moore Wright, four brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife Hazel Patterson Wright; two sons: Melvin and wife, Connie Wright of Delano; Eddie Wright of Cleveland; one grandchild Mary Woodruff; one great-grandchild Logan Woodruff; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009 in the chapel at Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Loyd Deal, Reverend Clifton Patterson and Chaplin Ronnie Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in Tumbling Creek Cemetery in Copperhill. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 1. 2009 at the funeral home.
