Paul R. Kuehn

Paul Richard Kuehn, age 90, a resident at Morningside Assisted Living Facility in Cleveland, TN and a former resident of Benton, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009. Before his retirement, he was employed with Union Carbide as a chemist. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton. He was preceded in death by his parents, August Rudolph Kuehn and Margaret Billings Kuehn, wife Martha L. Kuehn, and one brother, John Kuehn. Survivors include three children and spouses: Bill and Sally Blackwell of Benton, Richard and Cheryl Kuehn of Spring Lake, NC, and Rudy and Judy Kuehn of Norwell, MA; four grandchildren and spouses: Todd and Leighanne Burgner of Benton, Lynn Woody of Benton, Paul and Jennifer Kuehn of Columbus, MS, and Eric Kuehn of Norwell, MA; great grandchildren: Zack and Alex Akins of Benton, Michael and Meggie Woody of Benton, Madison Burgner of Benton, and Makayla Rhodes and Kyle Kuehn of Columbus, MS; borther, Jim Kuehn and sister, Phyllis Reisbig, both of Ionia, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 5, 2009 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Jasper Woody and Reverend Robert Speights officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
