Flossie Marie Wooten

Flossie (Honey Bee) Marie Cronan Wooten, 74, a life long resident of Benton, passed away Friday, March 07, 2008 at the family residence. She was a member of the Pine Ridge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wooten was the daughter of the late Harve Cronan and Lillie Mae Burns Cronan and was also preceded in death by her husband Ralph Wooten who passed away on January 27, 2008; brothers: Frank Cronan and Bud Cronan.


She is survived by her children and spouses: Tony and Judy Wooten of Benton, Benny and Lucille Wooten of Benton, Harvey Mac and Martha Jane Wooten of Farner, Kathy and Eldon Keith of Benton, Cynthia and Dewayne Davis of Old Fort, Joyce and Reverend Jerry Herron of Ocoee; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters: Ruth Seay of Benton and Pearl Coleman of Chattanooga; brothers and spouses: Burch and Lucille Cronan of Benton, Jack and Linda Cronan of Benton, William Cronan of Benton, Bobby Gene and Patsy Cronan of Cohutta, Georgia; sister-in law: JoAnn Cronan of Benton; several nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Moore and Reverend Jerry Herron officiating. Interment will follow in Cumberland Shed Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.


Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
