Jerald Leon Wilcox

Jerald Leon Wilcox, 53, a resident of Delano, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 in an Etowah hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie James Wilcox and Velmer Ruth Headen Wilcox.

He is survived by his children: Timothy Jerald Wilcox and wife, Sharleen Elizabeth of Delano, daughter, Amber Dawn Bishop and husband, Codie Labron Bishop of Etowah; 3 grandchildren: Skylar Shell, Annabell Wampler, Trinity Wilcox, Logan Bishop and Waylen Bishop; brothers: Harold Wilcox and wife, Elaine of Cleveland, Dan Wilcox and wife, Bonnie of Reliance, Bruce Wilcox of Benton, Cecil Wilcox and wife, Susie of Delano, Darrius Wilcox and wife, Sue of Reliance, Dale Wilcox and wife, Sandy of Reliance and Hubert Wilcox of Benton; sister, Anna L. Rymer and husband, Odean of Delano; a very special friend, Sharon Holder of Birchwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 1, 2008 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Chad Denton officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
