Kenny Whalen

Kenny Whalen, 74, a resident of Benton, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2007 at a local hospital.

He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Whalen was formerly employed by General Motors. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gideon Whalen and Lillie Carden Whalen; son, Kerry Craig Whalen; step son, Richard Fedrowiz; sister, Blanche Yates and brother, Ulyss Whalen.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Whalen of Benton; daughter, Connie Mehalof and husband William Mehalof, Sr.; stepsons: John E. Fedrowiz and wife, Lucy , Ronald Fedrowiz and wife, Gerri all of Cleveland, OH; 5 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; sisters: Frances Gregory and husband, Lyle of Cleveland, Margaret Hargraves and husband, William E. of Ringold, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August, 19, 2007 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Mat Merker officiating.

His family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
