Kenneth Eldridge Triplett

March 18, 1927 — July 17, 2008


Kenneth Eldridge Triplett, 81, a resident of Ocoee, passed away Thursday evening July 17, 2008 in a local hospital.

He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, the late Pat Triplett and his oldest son, John C. Triplett. He is the oldest son of the late John and Pearl Triplett (one of the oldest Polk County residents) of Benton.

He will be greatly missed by his only daughter, Linda M. Young of Cleveland and his 3 sons, Tom of Spring City, Kenneth Wayne and Bill Triplett of Benton; daughter in law, Linda M. Triplett of Benton. He has seven wonderful grandchildren; Brian Shamblin, Beth and Guy Triplett, Sarah and husband Josh Pike, Matthew and Patrick Triplett, Katy and Lydia Triplett; brothers, Curtis Triplett and wife Alyson of Ocoee, Dan Triplett of Benton; sisters, Gena Sampson of Benton, Bubbles Newman of Englewood, Gloria Norman of Knoxville. So many wonderful nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Special nurse-Janet and adopted granddaughter, Cheryl, his "girls" at Benton Family Medical Center. Last, but not least, Dad's very special dearest friend, Bonnie Irons, of Madisonville.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Guy Triplett, Matthew Triplett, Mike Stone, Eric Silvers, Greg Evans, and Charles Triplett serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Shamblin and Patrick Triplett.

Mr. Triplett's family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
