Clarence Thomas Taylor

Clarence Thomas Taylor, 90, a lifelong resident of Springtown, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the family residence.

He was a member of Archville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jones Taylor; sons, Goldman Delano Taylor and Danny Lee Taylor; daughter, Ally Lorine Taylor; parents, John Taylor and Lindy Wilcox Taylor; brothers: Joe Taylor, Abe Taylor and John Taylor; sisters: Lou Ledford and Lilly Mae King.

He is survived by his daughters: Frances Green and husband, Bo of Springtown, Elaine Wilcox and husband, Harold of Cleveland and Annie Sue Goode and husband, Melvin of Springtown; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brothers and sisters: Bonnie and Wayne King of Greasy Creek and Blanche and Junior Bates of Reliance and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Joe Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Archville Cemetery in Reliance. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
