Elizabeth Maxine Rogers

Maxine Rogers, 64, a life long resident of Benton, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007 at the family residence. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church of Benton. She retired from Eaton Corporation after twenty years of service and then became employed with the Polk County Board of Education for four years.

Mrs. Rogers was the daughter of the late Luther and Deloroius Rayburn.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, David Rogers of Benton; sons and daughters-in-law: Calvin and Kelly Rogers of Benton and Wesley and Rachel Rogers of Cleveland; four grandchildren: Destiny Rogers of Cleveland, Jeremiah Rogers of Cleveland, Alexander Rogers of Benton and Andrew Lawrence of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law: Brenda and Bill Dotson of Benton; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jackie and Kay Rayburn of Benton and Roger and Brenda Rayburn of Englewood; brother-in-law, Lake W. Rymer of Alabama; special niece, Paige Price; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2007 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Don Whitehead officiating. Interment will be held at the Zion Cemetery in Benton at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
Pallbearers will be Robert Swigert, Bobby Swigert, Gary Curtis, Jason Curtis, Scott Trew and Wade Trew.

Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
