Charles Raymond Reynolds

Charles Raymond Reynolds, Jr., age 91, a resident of Benton, passed away Friday, August 11, 2006 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Hardwick Stove. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Reynolds was the son of the late Charles R. Reynolds, Sr. and Iva Dunn Reynolds and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Haulk Reynolds, three sisters: Ella Sue Reynolds, Jodie Goode and Amy Reynolds; three brothers: Jim Reynolds, Tommy Reynolds and Ross Reynolds.

He is survived by his children and spouses: Linda and Kenneth Stone of Benton, Jane and Roger Moore of Cleveland, Stan and Charlotte Reynolds of Benton, Roland David and Dinah Reynolds of Cleveland; nine grandchildren: Becky Bates, Christie Tankersley, Crystal Moore, Tiffanie Moore, Rachel Kirkland, Roger Moore, Jr., Stephanie Moore, Melanie Diminnie, Vivien Richards; six great-grandchildren: Cody Bates, Rylee Bates, Savana Bates, Jordan Culberson, Kayla Tankersley and Brookland Kirkland; one sister, Reba White of Old Fort; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Parm officiating. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
