Dwight Powers

Dwight Powers, age 61, a resident of Cleveland, passed away quietly at his home, Saturday, March 31, 2007 to be with his Jesus. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his loving father and mother, Pete Powers and Sallie Powers; brother, LeeRoy Powers and sister, Willie Mae Mullinax.

He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Alene Cronan Powers; two daughters: Malinda Cash and husband, Tony of Copper Hill, Misty Moses and husband, Dean of Cleveland; two step sons: William Bates and wife, Amanda and John Bates all of Cleveland; ten grandchildren; brother, Douglas Powers; sister, Beulah Hicks and husband, Gary all of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend David Bowers officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
