Fannie Cora Lee Moats

Fannie Cora Lee Branson Moats, 74, a life long resident of Delano, passed away Monday, December 22, at the family residence. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Moats was the daughter of the late John Henry Branson and Molly Kate Dillard Branson and was also preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda Sue Deal and Patricia Ann Maton.

She is survived by daughter, Linda Dale Ledford of Farner; step children: Debbie West and David Moats; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 25, 2008 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Chestuee Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the funeral home.
