John Harrell McBee, 66, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007 in a Knoxville hospital. He was a member of Red Ash Baptist Church in Caryville, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. McBee was the son of the late Joseph Van McBee and Essie Parrotti McBee and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Prince and a brother, William Lee McBee.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Wallace McBee of Old Fort; four children and spouses: John McBee, Jr. and Michelle McBee of Cleveland, Randall McBee and Dorothy McBee of Crandall, GA, Angie Walker and Greg Walker and Tammy and Tracy Prince all of Cleveland; ten grandchildren: Shauntina Smith, John Erie McBee, Cody Joe McBee, Ronnie McBee, Britany Mashburn, Brandy Prince, Brandon Prince all of Cleveland, Donald Marrlow, Travis McBee and Nickey McBee all of Crandall, GA; two sisters and spouses: Vivian and Robert Rosenbaum of Clinton, TN and Mary and J.C. Summers of Holyoke, Mass.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Don Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Benton, TN with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
