John Milton Mauzey

John Milton Mauzey, age 75, a resident of Benton, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2006 in a Knoxville hospital. He was a former resident of Mendon, Missouri where he was a charter member of the Mendon Lion's Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a self-employed farmer and a member of Benton United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Dixie Harris Mauzey.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Best Mauzey of Benton; three sons and their spouses: Steve and Laura Mauzey of Boonville, MO, Larry and Jane Mauzey of Erwin, TN, and Randy Mauzey of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren: Ryan Mauzey and Rachel Mauzey, both of Boonville, MO; two brothers: his twin brother, William Maurice Mauzey and his wife Mary Frances, and Kenneth Earl Mauzey and his wife Tessa, all of Mendon, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services in Benton will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Benton United Methodist Church with Reverend Mat Merker officiating. Interment will be in Old Mendon Cemetery in Mendon, Missouri following services to be held in Mendon on Thursday.

His family will receive friends at the church from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. prior to the service.
