Betty Sue Locke

Betty Sue Locke, age 62, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2006 at her home. She was a native of Polk County and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was employed as bookkeeper and manager at Calfees on Highway 64. Her parents, James and Amanda Blackwell Locke, preceded her in death as well as two brothers: James M. Locke and Aaron Locke.

She is survived by her close companion, Willard Calfee of Cleveland; two sisters: Mary Lou Hobson of Etowah, and Jerry Lynn Davis and husband Bill of Hamilton, Ohio; eight brothers and their spouses: Eugene and Georgia Locke, Raymond and Diane Locke, and Bill Locke all of Etowah, Leonard and Lavern Locke of Englewood, Fred and Joy Locke of Madisonville, Clifton Locke, Clifford Locke, and Walter and Betty Locke, all of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Chastain officiating. Interment will follow in the Locke Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
