Onie Annare Lawson

Onie Lawson, 93, a life long resident of Benton, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 8, 2007. She was a member of Benton Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Tilda Jane Cross of Benton; her husband, Roy Lawson; eight brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Geneva and Randall Mullinax of Cleveland; one granddaughter and husband, Rebecca and Nick Herron of Benton; one great grandson, Timothy Herron of Benton; several nieces and nephews; special friends, MaryAnn Blackwell of Benton and Janet Teague of Cleveland,.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Herron officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with Nick Herron, Ray Cross, Bob Cross, Willie Cross, Roger Stepp and Fred Cross serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
