Jodie Cathleen Goode

Jodie Cathleen Reynolds Goode, age 87, a lifelong resident of Benton, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2006 in an Etowah Healthcare Center. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Ivy Reynolds, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Goode, a daughter, Margret Goode Austin, brothers: Ross Reynolds, Jim Reynolds and Tommy Reynolds, and sisters: Amy Cavett and Ella Sue Reynolds.

She is survived by four children and their spouses: Billy and Millie Goode of Benton, Gerald and Sandy Goode of Ocoee, Anna and Don Dempsey of Cleveland, and Marvin Edward Goode of Benton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Reba White of Old Fort; one brother, Charles Reynolds of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Parm officiating. Interment will follow in Cumberland Shed Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
