Chass Bascon Dixson

Chass Bascon Dixson, age 92, a life long resident of Ocoee, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2006 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church. Mr. Dixson was the son of the late Arthur Evrin and Adrie Ash Dixson and was also preceded in death by a son, Wesley Ervin Dixson and a brother, Arthur Dixson, and one granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife Ruby Kinser Dixson of Ocoee; four children and spouses: Lydia and Clyde Nail of Ocoee, Darvin and Loretta Dixson of Charleston, Leon and Dale Dixson of Cleveland and Sylvia Dixson of Ocoee; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Elsie Dixson of Ocoee and Alice Goins of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Smyrna Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Parm and Reverend David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at Smyrna Baptist Church prior to the service at the church.
